Graphite sits at the darker end of the ANDINA palette — a deep, cool gray that is closer to charcoal than to smokey gray. Not black, but with enough depth to anchor a room in a way that lighter grays don’t.
The Area Rug in Graphite is a flat weave piece in pure sheep wool, dyed with natural pigments from plants and minerals of northern Argentina. The close-up images show the texture clearly — dense, even, with the slight variation of hand-spun yarn that distinguishes a handwoven surface from an industrially produced one. The leather ANDINA label is visible in one of the detail shots.
Graphite works as a solid graphite wool rug in rooms where other neutral pieces need grounding — where natural, sand, or camel tones are already present and the floor needs to anchor the space. It also works as the main color statement in rooms with minimal furniture and pale walls.
Flat weave, no pile. Made without electricity on a wooden loom in northern Argentina. Made to order in any size.
