Wood and natural. One tone hand-dyed from bark and plants of the Argentine highlands. One tone completely untouched — the raw fleece of the sheep.
The Checkered Runner is a checkered wool runner rug where the pattern is structural, not decorative. The squares are woven into the fabric using a baeton technique — each one formed by alternating the two tones in sequence, row by row, with the precision that comes from repetition across years. The result is a surface with subtle relief: the squares cast a faint shadow on each other.
This checkered wool runner rug brings pattern to narrow spaces without overwhelming them. Hallways, kitchen floors, the space beside a bed — it works wherever a long, considered piece is needed.
The baeton weave is denser than a standard flat weave, which gives the runner more body and durability underfoot.
