Three tones, three different origins. Natural — the raw fleece, undyed. Sand — achieved with pigments from plants and minerals of the Argentine highlands. Black — from the same tradition, the same region, the same hands.
The Yunga is an andean pattern wool rug where the design belongs to the artisans who made it. The lines, the proportions, the rhythm of the pattern — these were not designed at a desk. They came from a weaving tradition rooted in the Yunga region of northern Argentina, passed down and refined across generations.
The three tones of this andean pattern wool rug sit in a composition that is both graphic and warm. The undyed natural anchors the piece. The sand brings light. The black gives it structure.
Flat weave, no pile, built row by row on a wooden loom without electricity. Each piece made to order within the same artisan community.
