Two tones. One undyed — the raw fleece of the sheep, unchanged. One hand-dyed with pigments drawn from bark and plants found in the same region where the rug is made. The Stairs striped wool area rug carries the quiet logic of things that belong together.
The vertical stripe pattern is woven directly into the structure of the piece — not printed, not applied. It emerges from the alternation of threads, each placed by hand on a wooden loom built from local tree trunks. The result is a surface with subtle relief, a texture you notice more with touch than with sight.
Natural & Wood means exactly that: the lighter tone is raw, undyed sheep wool in its original state. The darker tone is achieved through natural pigments only — no synthetic dyes at any point in the process. This striped wool area rug is as close to the source as a textile can be.
Made in northern Argentina by artisan cooperatives that work outside the industrial supply chain. Every step — from shearing to the final row — happens within the same community.
