Each ANDINA piece is handwoven from natural fibers. Subtle variations in tone, texture, and final measurements are inherent to the handmade process and reflect the authenticity of its origin.

Wood is the warmest tone in the ANDINA round rug range. Where natural is pale and sandy, wood is the brown of bark and worked timber — richer, deeper, with more presence on a floor.

The Round Rug in Wood begins on a flat loom, like all ANDINA pieces. After weaving, the circular shape is cut from the rectangular base by hand with scissors, and the edge is finished stitch by stitch with needle and wool. The close-up image of the hand-stitched edge shows exactly how that work looks — even, dense, done without machinery.

The wood tone is achieved with natural dyes from bark and plants native to northern Argentina. Applied to hand-spun sheep wool before weaving begins. The color is warm without being orange, brown without being flat — it shifts slightly across the surface as the light changes.

A round rug changes the logic of a room. It softens the geometry, suggests a center, makes a space feel considered. The wood tone makes that effect warmer and more grounding than the natural or sand versions — it works especially well in rooms with pale walls and timber floors.

Northern Argentina Artisans

Behind every ANDINA piece lies the work of artisan weavers living in remote regions of northern Argentina.

Their craft, passed down through generations, is a quiet dialogue between tradition, nature, and time. Using pure, natural fibers and ancestral techniques, they create textiles that embody both cultural heritage and contemporary simplicity.

Each rug, cushion, and throw is the result of patience, skill, and respect—for the land, for the materials, and for the people who keep these traditions alive.
