Sand. A tone that belongs to no single thing — it is the color of dry earth, of open light, of the hour before the sun sets. Achieved through natural dyes derived from plants and minerals native to northern Argentina, then woven across the full surface without interruption.
The Solid Sand wool rug is one of the quietest pieces in the ANDINA collection. It imposes nothing. It works alongside almost any material — stone, wood, plaster, linen — without competing. Its presence is felt more than seen.
The flat weave of this solid sand wool rug is built row by row on a wooden loom, without pile and without electricity. Hand-spun yarn means the surface has a slight natural variation — not inconsistency, but life. The same color, caught by light at different angles, reads as warm in one moment and cool in the next.
Made entirely by artisan cooperatives in remote regions of northern Argentina, using techniques unchanged across generations.
