Smokey gray and natural. A cool tone and a warm one. The gray achieved with natural dyes from minerals and plants of northern Argentina — a gray that has smoke in it, not slate. The natural is the undyed wool, the cream-white of the fleece unchanged.
The contrast between these two tones is different from most pom pom colorways. Where sand-and-natural or wood-and-natural create warmth on warmth, the gray introduces a cooler register that makes the natural pop — and makes the rug work in spaces with a contemporary palette.
Six product images show this pom pom wool area rug in multiple contexts: in a light-filled room with an armchair, under a blue sofa with a marble table, and in close-up details that reveal the texture of each raised element. The contrast between the smokey gray base and the natural white poms is clearly visible in every shot.
The pom pom technique is the most labor-intensive in the ANDINA range. Each element is tied into the woven base individually, trimmed, and positioned by hand. The rug you see is the product of that repetition.
